BionicBack
The BionicBack is a passive exoskeleton designed to reduce the strain on the back during lifting and carrying. By supporting the natural movements of the back and relieving strain on the lumbar spine during daily work activities, the BionicBack helps to improve the health and well-being of users.

WE WANTED TO KNOW EXACTLY.
Empirical studies show that the BionicBack reduces muscle fatigue by up to 86% and improves posture by 37%. Muscle activity during lifting and carrying is reduced by 5-35%, which significantly reduces the strain on the back muscles. These results show that the BionicBack is an effective solution for supporting and relieving the back during physically demanding activities. The significant improvements in posture and reduction in muscle fatigue contribute significantly to the long-term health and performance of users.

RELIEF FOR CAREGIVERS
Care workers are under a lot of physical strain every day - the back in particular is under a lot of strain. In a one-year long-term study, we at Help Tech, together with the Diakonie Stiftung Salem, WohnXperium e.V. and bkk melitta hmr, investigated how the BionicBack can improve working conditions in the care sector.
The results speak for themselves: the strain on the lower back was reduced, pain in the back, shoulder and neck area decreased noticeably and care staff reported a more pleasant, ergonomic way of working. In addition, optimized movement patterns resulted in long-term health benefits.
The study has shown that the BionicBack can make a valuable contribution to health prevention in the care sector.
